The project manager is Tarig Osman at Clinical Institute 1, UiB. Tarig has background as a dental surgeon from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. In 2014 he completed his PhD at UiB focusing on cancer stem cell related markers in normal and neuroplastic oral mucosa. He has also been a post-doc at Centre for Cancer Biomarkers (CCBIO) from 2014-2016, working on experimental studies of angiogenesis, tumour microenvironment and metastatic spread in breast cancer subtypes. He is currently employed by the Renal Research Group (50%) and the Tissue engineering group (50%) at UiB.

Henriette Christie Ertsås holds a PhD from the Department of Biomedicine (UiB) and CCBIO (Centre for Cancer Biomarkers). She stages what goes on inside the body, more specifically among and inside cells, and allows us to get acquainted with really tiny biology that is barely visible in the microscope. She has researched age-dependent cancer at UiB and is completely appalled by the cancer cells’ lack of self-awareness. Henriette also has an acting degree (MFA) and uses this mix of backgrounds to tell the story of the wondrous biology.

Per Sakariassen holds a PhD from the Institute of Biomedicine (UiB), followed by a postdoc and research position in translational cancer research until he switched field and started the company WebDraft in 2012, which provides services in 3D graphics, print, photo and video / editing. He also teaches photography / video / graphic design at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL)

For our exhibition, artists Nazzar Nawrani and Maria Eriksen participated with paintings. The paintings with the exception of “Silent Attacks” are available for purchase. Contact Tarig Osman.
